Private Evaluations

Child and Adolescent Evaluations:

  • A comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation will include a thorough clinical interview with parents, and testing to examine cognition, memory, academic achievement, fine motor, language, phonological processing, social-emotional functioning and behavior, personality, and attention and executive functioning, with a special focus on how these factors impact learning and school performance, and overall daily functioning.

All evaluations are tailored to your referral questions and specific needs.

Evaluations can lead to DSM-5 diagnoses of Autism, ADHD, learning disorders in reading, math, and writing (i.e. dyslexia, dyscalculia, and dysgraphia), anxiety, and/or depression. Following the evaluation, a thorough written report with recommendations will be presented to you at the final feedback session.

  • Autism evaluations require specialized assessments, including the administration of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2) and/or the Monteiro Interview Guidelines for Diagnosing the Autism Spectrum (MIGDAS-2). A comprehensive clinical interview with focus on developmental history is completed with parents. This evaluation also uses targeted norm-referenced rating scales/questionnaires that assess related symptoms, including social language and sensory processing. Additional direct assessment in pragmatic language may also be conducted.

Following the evaluation, a thorough written report with recommendations will be presented to you at the final feedback session.

  • An assessment of giftedness will determine if an individual is cognitively and/or academically gifted. This can be particularly useful in planning services at school and understanding learning needs, strengths, and weaknesses. This type of evaluation would include interviews with parent and/or client, and administration of IQ and academic tests. Additional assessment of social-emotional functioning may also be incorporated. A feedback session and comprehensive written report will follow.

  • This type of evaluation involves a clinical interview with parents, including a through developmental and medical history review. Testing will assess IQ and adaptive behavior skills to understand how the child learns, solve problems, and manages everyday life tasks.

For a diagnosis of Intellectual Disability, both significantly below-average intellectual functioning and deficits in adaptive behavior must be present. If criteria are met, the psychologist will provide a clear explanation and tailored recommendations for educational planning (IEP), therapies (e.g. speech, OT, PT, behavior support), and home strategies to build independence.

Adult Evaluations:

  • If you were you once diagnosed with a disability but need or want updated documentation, we can help. Or, you may suspect that you have a learning disability or ADHD and are seeking answers as well as possible school and/or testing accommodations (e.g. extra time on tests). The assessments would include a combination of clinical interviews, cognitive assessment, academic assessment, tests of attention and executive functioning, and social-emotional/behavior functioning. A written report with recommendations will be presented at the final feedback meeting.

  • ADHD Evaluations:

Whether you were diagnosed as a child and want an updated assessment, or whether you’re wanting to explore an initial diagnosis, we take a comprehensive approach to our assessments.

With our background in school psychology, we bring specialized knowledge of how executive functioning, attention, and processing patterns affect learning, productivity, and daily life in academic and professional settings. This perspective allows us to look beyond symptoms and understand how your attention profile influences real tasks, long term goals, and everyday responsibilities.

Why adults seek an ADHD evaluation:

    • Difficulty sustaining attention during meetings or long tasks

    • Ongoing struggles with organization, time management, or prioritizing

    • Frequent forgetfulness or mental fatigue

    • Trouble starting or completing tasks without external structure

    • Feeling overwhelmed by planning and follow through

    • Working harder than others to achieve the same outcome

    • Longstanding academic challenges or avoiding reading or writing tasks

    • Difficulty managing deadlines at school or work

    Learning Disability (including Dyslexia) Evaluations:

Many adults have a long history of unexplained reading, math, spelling, or writing challenges. An evaluation helps explain why these difficulties persist and provides language to understand their experiences. Learning disability evaluations are especially useful if you’re looking for academic or career advancement, experiencing challenges in the workplace, have a desire to improve skills, want to understand familial patterns, and/or to access accommodations in school or the workplace.

    Evaluation Process:

Our adult evaluations are conducted in one appointment (plan on 3-5 hours, depending on the type of evaluation, with breaks included) and includes a comprehensive clinical interview (60-90 minutes) and a combination of standardized assessments (unique to your referral concern) to examine attention and executive functioning, cognitive skills, and academic achievement. There will be a separate follow-up appointment where we’ll review results and recommendations. You will also receive a personalized written report with results and recommendations.

Please note that we do not assess or diagnose: Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Eating Disorders, Bipolar Disorder, Psychosis, Schizophrenia, or Personality Disorders

We’re happy to provide you with names of trusted providers and resources to help you find the support you need.

Additionally, if after the initial consultation we determine that your needs are outside our scope of practice, we will provide recommendations for other evaluators who may be a better fit.

We are a private pay practice and not in-network with insurance companies. With our philosophy of providing the most comprehensive and personalized services possible, putting in the time you deserve, we have made the conscious decision not to partner with insurance companies at this time. If you’d like to seek reimbursement with your insurance company through your out-of-network benefits policy, we can provide you a Superbill to submit once the evaluation is completed. Reimbursement rates are plan-specific. Note that submitting a Superbill requires documentation of diagnostic codes.

Payment methods: cash, check, all major credit cards, ACH bank transfer, Health Savings Account (HSA)/Flex Spending Account (FSA).

Note: we are unable to take CareCredit or CareFund as a method of payment at this time.

  • Evaluation fees vary based on the specific referral questions and type of assessment needed. We charge a flat fee for evaluations, typically ranging from $1,800 to $3000, depending on age and scope of the referral. In certain cases, such as a targeted reassessment of ADHD or anxiety symptoms, giftedness only, or a check-up on reading progress, we may conduct evaluations at an hourly rate of $200 based on the unique needs of the client.

The overall fee quoted for your evaluation will include a 60-90 minute parent-only intake appointment, review of available records (if applicable), school communication and incorporation of teacher feedback (if applicable), direct testing (one full day or two half day sessions; sometimes additional sessions are still needed), test scoring and interpretation, overall analysis, report writing, and final feedback session. You will direct access to your clinician throughout the process.

At the initial intake appointment, a payment of $300 will be due. Following the intake appointment, no less than half of the remaining balance will be due at the first testing appointment. The remaining balance will be due at the final feedback session.

We are open to discussing alternative payment plan options to help make our services more accessible. The only requirement is that the full balance must be paid by the time results are provided at the final feedback session.
